I’ve been a resident of Tehachapi for 22 years and raised two kids. I’ve been a crafter most of my life, my mother encouraged and supported my craft interests at an early age, sending me to sewing classes, ceramics and summer art & craft programs. As a teen, I worked for an Import Co. that sold beads and such and I began to string my own jewelry. I made custom macramé hanging tables and tiffany style lamps in the mid 70’s.
I’ve dabbed in all the current craft fads such as Tole painting, mosaics, ect. My love for teaching began as a 4-H leader here in Tehachapi. I taught children for 12 years many different projects such as Arts & Crafts, swine, sheep, beef, and poultry. I was an avid beader before being introduced to polymer clay. I won a gift basket of clay and tools from a local bead store (The Bead Depot) and that began my journey into the Polymer Clay world. For the past 2 years I have taught polymer clay classes at the Tehachapi Art Center.
